Homeowner Insurance premiums in Minnesota

September 24, 2012 -

Homeowner's Insurance premiums have been increasing dramatically during the past two years.  I anticipate that this will continue for 2013 and possibly into 2014.  With changes in the weather patterns storms have become more severe.  Extensive damage to roofs and siding has resulted in very large claims not anticipated or incurred 5 years ago.  Even though a homeowner has not had a claim, rates will increase.

Often, Insurance Advantage is able to mitigate premium increases for homeowners that have not had recent homeowner insurance claims.  Insurance Advantage Agents shop our various insurance companies to determine which company can currently provide the best combination of homeowner's coverage and premium.

To additionally facilitate our competitive position for our policyholders in the Minneapolis - St. Paul Twin Cities area, we are adding a new insurance company to our list of homeowner's insurance providers.  Watch for further information.
